Watching Batman Begins with suite doors closed. Great privacy! Interesting Chinese subtitles that I couldn't turn off.

IFE controller with cool depiction of the US Capitol.

After dinner, I requested the FA make my bed in one of the adjacent, empty suites.

Super comfortable; slept like a baby for 5 hours.

Afternoon tea. I had the Italian almond blend.

Raspberry mousse; fudge brownie with raspberry caviar. DELICIOUS. I loved the extra plating flourishes that the chef added beyond the standard plating.

Sticky toffee pudding; ancho chili sauce and kumquat compote.

Post-tea view

Landed back at IAD to find my Etihad Chauffeur. Nothing exciting, just a Caddy XTS this time.

CONCLUSIONS:

EY F A380: Fantastic hard product, impeccable service. Food was ok (great desserts, very good appetizers, but middling main entrees).

EY J 787: Good hard product, very good service, average food. Would prefer QR J 787.

EY F 787: Excellent hard product, impeccable service. Food was very good, but only because this segment had a classically trained chef.

QR F Al-Safwa Lounge: I loved it. The Quiet Rooms were superb. Food could have been better if they didn't overcook their proteins.

Thanks for reading and following along!
