I'll leave for him to justify / re-word. I might have misquoted him - he thoroughly enjoyed the meal including that particular course despite the beef (which formed only part of that course) not being at its best (though I would say 'as one would expect').

chris1979 excellent TR so far! Really good.
I recognise the pen in the Concorde Room- its one of my firm's pens. Now I am trying to work out if you are a colleague of mine, a client or have just somehow picked up one of our pens from somewhere!

I'd really like to stay at the FS in HKG but our dollar has been hammered to the HK$ to the point where the price is insane.
Hoping our firm negotiates a rate with them for 2016 and I can stay in March.
Nice pictures. Pool looks so nice.

Great report so far chris1979.
Ann's special dessert looks brilliant!
I think you kept 1A very respectable in that red hat
The food looks good - especially the dessert.
Hope you enjoyed the rest of the trip!

the crew member looking after us is actually locally based / Asia based so he won't be going back. None of the other F crew served me a drink so I'll 'educate' them on the drink......
thanks - yes, pretty cool and we were very lucky with the weather on Friday and yesterday.
16th floor.
thanks! ^

just to give a comparison of the 'partner' seats on the A380 (massive!) and the 747 (smallest - much smaller than 777):
this was last November on 747 to the US. in the partner seat, it was difficult for me to actually lean back given the shoulder width is so small:
vs me stretching out in the partner seat on the 380:

Part 3: Friday night out in town.
A few more pics of the hotel as we were heading out:
It had been a long day (day's work, flights, pool and spa!) but we weren't not going to head into town.
the Four Seasons is in a great location to hit various parts including Mid Levels where we headed.
A friend of Matt had recommended Chom Chom which was a great call - a fun bustling place with great food - exactly what we needed:
Great meal.
we hit a bar on the way home but tiredness started to set it and it was time to call it a day.

Saturday morning: breakfast at the Four Seasons and relaxing
we both slept ok. I woke up a few times during the night but all in line with travelling east jet lag.
It was Matt's birthday so we had lunch at the Michelin starred restaurant booked for later on but we got up reasonably early, had breakfast and enjoyed a few hours by the pool. I'll let the pictures do the talking......
'starter' of Birchler muesli:
Followed by Eggs Benedict
And Matt finished it all off with some pancakes:
followed by a few hours in the sun by the pool
Bliss!

It was Matt's birthday on Saturday and he had booked us into Caprice, the restaurant in the Four Seasons with Michelin stars.
we had a great table in the windows but it started to get cloudy outside.
(this picture was actually after we had eaten hence it was empty)
the warm up was a very tasty mashed potato cream with chorizo, squid and a few other bits I didn't quite catch.
followed by the amouse bouche
we both had the foie gras creme brule which was spectacular!
I had lamb for main course
whilst Matt had monkfish which were both very good
I had a floating island desert which was a most fluffy and light egg white with all sorts of nice taste combinations
And Matt had a coffee desert / tiramisu
As it was Matt's birthday, they also brought us a birthday 'cake' which they served with great care (and put the rest in a take-away bag)
All in all a fantastic lunch that was actually also great value.
When we got back to the room, there was another birthday cake for Matt.
