It's funny how often I'm being accused of "photoshoping" etc.
I wanted to show you what a real photographic effort means.
Waking up early, trying to find the best light, this kind of effort etc.
There is nothing you can "photoshop" when you pictures sucks
First picture shows a completely untouched frame, only open in Camera RAW.
Second picture is my adjustments, I just wanted to correct the balance,
didn't like how black trees overwhelmed the picture. Also played with
contrast a little bit. That's it. The whole thing is pure natural beauty...

Yes, I wanted to show you guys how it works.
Obviously using the word "effort" next to an amazing report by DanielW
doesn't sound right
But in order to get good pictures, you need to work it, rule number 1 being -
wake up early! This is 90% of your success. When we visited Angkor Wat,
we had many temples - in the morning, in the most magical moment -
just for ourselves. And my pictures came up mysterious and magical too.
When we were driving back to the hotel to rest, all the other tourists were
starting their day just to see the crowded temples in a hazy terrible light...
So it's not really Photoshop, trust me

A little update as people keep asking me - yes, Maldives are amazing,
but our next trip will be back to Seychelles.
There is just that much more to see and photograph there. Yes, at some point
we will go back to the Maldives, but right now Seychelles are our choice

It's designed for bad cellphone pictures to look less bad by applying
some cheesy filters... How can I compete with billions of food pictures
and celebrity selfies?
