I think that you're being a bit harsh on CX, at least by my standards.

I agree that it serves no useful purpose, but if that's what they want, doesn't bother me.

Happens all the time at many airports I frequent, like BOS. I've never observed any problems.

Doesn't look like champagne to me.

What's wrong with the presentaton?

Again, what's wrong with this presentation?

Not at all my experience on CX. How many movies were on the system for your flight?

Not from an airline's perspective. Missing passenger means offloading his/her checked bags.

You're probably right about that; but I'm curious. how was it obvious?

I have another problem. For example after I visited the Pier itīs not so easy to visit another lounge.

Itīs not really wrong, but it could be done nicer.

Itīs of course no Airline Problem. Itīs redicolous from the passenger view. How can I be late at a such delated flight?

When I booked the flight it was shown as Business Class only, First not offered on this flight.

Are you saying theoretically or it happened to you? You don't need an invitation to the FLounge, a boarding pass is enough to grant you access. Every time.

That's going to happen at any airport where there's only one jetbridge available or in use. IME cabin crew at the door have always handled it remarkably well. I fly CX F a lot and have never not been escorted to my seat. When only one door is being used, it's usually Door 2L, which avoids the unwashed masses trampling through the F cabin.

Sorry, your caption on that pic said champagne. You didn't mention that you don't drink alcohol.

Maybe. Doesn't seem so terrible to me. How would you change it? What about the cheese presentation? While I can imagine ways to make the caviar presentation slightly nicer (starting with restoring the Balik and potatoes ), I can't think of how to do that with the cheese. Looks lovely to me.

Remember, you're not in a restaurant; you're in a metal tube speeding through the air tens of thousands of feet above the earth. It's not a restaurant and won't be the same as one.

Airlines don't like delayed flights any more than we do. Fouls things up downstream in the schedule and often costs a non-trivial amount of money. It's undoubtedly easier and quicker to wait a few minutes for a late passenger than to try to find his/her bag(s) and offload.

That's pretty common in SEAsia, where routes are known for equipment substitutions. When there's an F cabin on a flight on which F is not sold, they often let DMs sit in it. Everything else is the same, however. Food, service standards, cabin crew, etc. The only difference is the hard product, the seat.

I still think that you're being a bit harsh. Sounds like CX may not be a good choice for you. Have you tried JL? JL pays a lot of attention to detail and presentation, same as NH.

I hate when this happens too. Just always a bad start to the trip when you take your seat and surrounded by 100+ people and can't put stuff away until they all clear. China Eastern did this too but mind boggling for an airline like CX.

Theoretically

OK, OK. As I said itīs OK. The cheese was simply put on the plate. I had some Special cheese-plates in the air before (think LH), but didnīt find pictures.

I know, they changed 330 tot 747. My only Point is, that they didnīt allow the Business-passengers sitting in Business to use the First-toilet. Would fully understand it as paying First-passengers are at bord - but not in our situation.

I would fly CX again, but only if the price is less or at least equal to itīs competitors. If I look on other reports of CX-F I see much better experiences. Service for example was OK and absolutely nothing to complain about. But itīs also true it wasnīt over the top or especially good.
