Best food item in the lounge? The Turkish desserts I'd say. Only located on the upper level, at least they provided some impetus for exercise.
There was also a Turkish special of the month chef's station serving manti.

Thanks farbster! I agree. TK did a great job with their lounge. Although not as spectacular, architecturally, as the Al-Mourjan lounge in Doha, the overall experience and food are better.

More manti
DoCo chef who came around with his cart, offering dried fruits and cheeses. He had a great smile! I hear there's also a dessert cart. Yum.
Plate 1:
Plate 2, had to get some kofte & pide
Plate 3: more pide?! why not!
Plate 4: I don't think I've had enough Turkish dessert yet...
Then I was so full I could only roll around.
Off to our PEK flight!

Nice TN. Yes, the whole lock stuff thing is pretty lame and no different than any other type of vandalism – I don’t get it. I like your photos but a little too much DOF in some cases and in some cases, the object is not the main item in focus. But I don’t know much about photography so take that comment with a grain of salt.

TK 20
IST-PEK; 773
I pity the fool who gets stuck with the middle seat
Exceptionally generous legroom.
I do like the fact that movie watching is available pre-takeoff.
Amenity kit
TK is most famous for its "candlelight dinner in the sky" concept. I thought it was well executed. Best tasting business class food, and certainly better than the Cathay F food I had.
Canapes
Salmon and prawns I think. The stuffed zucchini and grape leaves in the upper left were incredibly tasty.
Potato leek soup
Grilled sea bream fillet with tomato and black olive salsa with zucchini/potatoes
My lamb chops with oven roasted red peppers/potato gratin. Impeccable presentation for airplane food! Lamb chops were overcooked but still delicious
At some point I dozed off during dinner and missed dessert. I awoke, and the chef kindly said he would custom make a dessert tray for me.
It was incredible! I was so full at this point, but managed to consume nearly everything on the tray.

TK, like QR, often is reported to have hit-or-miss FA service. This flight had a young crew who were very attentive.
The onboard chef, pictured here, did an amazing job with the food.
The only weak link in the TK meal service would be their breakfast (no omelette that I can recall).
Also, a rather skimpy mid-flight snack bar, but I guess that can be excused given the extensive dinner menu.

it is funny you say that since i have done the same with my own 50mm 1.8 since the lighting sucks....and then get home and find out i am focused on a fork tip....but then again, i look stranger trying to take pictures of the seat with a prime....
