So do the Falcons get FF miles and status? Do they get extra baggage?

Awesome trip report though.

Wow. Not something I'll be emulating this decade, but I appreciate the chance to travel through your lens and writing.

Wow DanielW, each new TR is better than the previous one... Congratulations.

It's great to see these pictures in such a moment where we only hear bad things coming from that area.

Yes, safely stowed under the seat for takeoff too.

Cheers, TheFerret. Hopefully they have their own menu too, raw rabbit or fresh chicken.

Many thanks, dickerso, was a bit nervous when I booked this back in August but it seems to have settled a bit now that the US and partners are dropping some 'freedom' down on ISIS.

Thank you, themapelligroup. My next TR will be a bit more pedestrian, just a winter trip to europe. Looking forward to all the Xmas markets though.

Many thanks, Lounge Expert. Yes, was great to visit a place less travelled. The people seem to be genuinely surprised to see me and very friendly too.

Amazing photos, full of joy! So glad to read something about Iraq that has nothing to do with the terrible war. Looking forward to your future trip reports!

Lovely pics as ever Daniel - and yet another fascinating destination. Maybe you should put the info about your camera and portrait taking in the intro so you don't get asked so many times?

Great report! I always admire those travelers who are willing and eager to share their experiences in places most of us won't go to.

Many thanks, exilencfc. I've recently created a page on my website for my camera. Will have to include it in my next TR.

Don't worry, I've been busy mining your blog for ideas.

Just had a car bomb in Erbil. Close to the Citadel at the governor's office. I walked right past this place (and admired the artwork on the blast walls).
