Beautiful pictures. Probably a good decision not to go on up the volcano, not a good place to get stuck.

You've done it again Fabi. Amazing trip and pictures. After all the moving around in Indonesia, great choice to head back in Business. I look forward to more reports from you.

Thanks for an amazing photo journey, I loved all your pics - some were just amazing, particulary the wonderful images of people going about life.

Parts of Indonesia are just stunning, those beaches and the colors of the water.

Thanks so much for the pleasure you provided

I need to do some trekking/getting out of cities.

I've bookmarked this TR, as well as your Philippines trip.

Out of curiosity, do you go out into the countryside solo or with others? As a quasi-clueless Westerner, I have been hesitant to go into wild yonder of the Pacific rim on my own.

I'm usually a city traveler, but I must get to Flores and the part of Indonesia east of Wallace's Line. Nice photos!

Also, always amused to see that the BR flight to CDG goes the long way...

Flores/Komodo I did with my ex, Bohol I first was alone and later met a friend, who used to live there, Lombok/Rinjani alone. Indonesia is fairly safe, the deep south of the Philippines is known to be dangerous for Westerners (kidnappings), the rest is fine. You can do it alone, but it's always safer if you go with a friend.

WOW. Indonesia seems so undiscovered and you do not see a lot of reports on FT. Thanks for sharing!

I missed reading this TR since May! Amazing photos as always ... I think it's time for me to invest in one similar to yours.
