A bit too detailed for 1 flight, but if I ever want to fly JAL, all accounted for in excruciating details.
I'm not publishing this trip report on Flyer Talk to show that i did it (Facebook is much better ) but to show the hard and the soft product , so it must have a lot of details

I do find it really funny that people actually think they can tell the difference betwixt different Champagnes in flight at 35,000 feet, especially since (I'm guessing) most of them only actually drink these when flying and wouldn't pay for them on the ground.
You're right, I'm not snobbish
But I usually pay for that kind of champagne on the ground

I flew JAL F in 1977 from Tokyo to LA.

I stupidly chose the Japanese option and to me it was disgusting.

Dumb me I was too shy to ask to switch to the western option.

Breakfast was also bad. The croissant was stale.

They did give you a nice dressing gown.

That is a wonderful trip report my twin. I enjoyed it and it made me want to fly JAL (even though it's One World ).

Nice TR. seems like the flight was less than 9. I was surprised you rated it this high given the comments.

I like the shot of the mini J cabin. That would be my go to.

How was the cabin temp?
I'm not a sake connoisseur.

All in all the flight was great even with all the details I noted

The cabin was a bit warm as usual with JL : that's why I needed to rehydrate me

I don't understand the comments on here that the report is too detailed and pretentious... WTH? Isn't the point of a trip report to be AS detailed as possible? I mean seriously I don't get it. this was an amazing report with high quality pictures and narrative. If I wanted to fly JAL First class and knew nothing about the product, or even alittle, this report would answer most if not all of my questions.

Thanks G_G for this report.

Very nice and comprehensive TR. I always love the presentation of Japanese food in general, and the presentation in JL F is no less stellar.

Since I'm planning on booking the same flight, I appreciated the TR.

Given the large focus on champagne et al., as someone who doesn't drink, should I worry about missing out?

JAL does a pretty nice coffee and espresso program, and you can always stick to the Royal Blue...tea that costs as much as most airlines' champagne!
