From the form/style of English, I think something may have been lost in the translation.
I do find it really funny that people actually think they can tell the difference betwixt different Champagnes in flight at 35,000 feet, especially since (I'm guessing) most of them only actually drink these when flying and wouldn't pay for them on the ground.

But I usually pay for that kind of champagne on the ground

I flew JAL F in 1977 from Tokyo to LA.
I stupidly chose the Japanese option and to me it was disgusting.
Dumb me I was too shy to ask to switch to the western option.
Breakfast was also bad. The croissant was stale.
They did give you a nice dressing gown.

Personally, the wine and sake selections looked stunning. Salon, it's nice. same with Dom, but looks like I would have piled into the sake....
Nice TR. seems like the flight was less than 9. I was surprised you rated it this high given the comments.
I like the shot of the mini J cabin. That would be my go to.
How was the cabin temp?

All in all the flight was great even with all the details I noted
The cabin was a bit warm as usual with JL : that's why I needed to rehydrate me

I don't understand the comments on here that the report is too detailed and pretentious... WTH? Isn't the point of a trip report to be AS detailed as possible? I mean seriously I don't get it. this was an amazing report with high quality pictures and narrative. If I wanted to fly JAL First class and knew nothing about the product, or even alittle, this report would answer most if not all of my questions.
Thanks G_G for this report.

Since I'm planning on booking the same flight, I appreciated the TR.
Given the large focus on champagne et al., as someone who doesn't drink, should I worry about missing out?

JAL does a pretty nice coffee and espresso program, and you can always stick to the Royal Blue...tea that costs as much as most airlines' champagne!
