Great part of the country - glad you enjoyed it.
amaroo,

those falls are amazing! and thinking I was in Kuranda for other reasons and I almost only by chance stopped there! Australia's nature can really be breathtaking! Just like its meat pies

Great trip report, I'm glad you had such a good time when you are out here.

Really pleased you're heading back to our shores, you'll definitely enjoy your ride on QF A380 F.

Hey patgarrett,

the name's Palm Cove - just north of Cairns. Very popular spot - especially with locals!

Eating kangaroo, are we oneworld82.

You better be hoping that no kangaroo (or kangaroosters as my grandfather used to call them) are reading your trip report, or this might happen to you ......http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=Z0u7e-7AR8A (go to minute 18).

You see kangaroos are not quite as cute as they seem sometimes. I hope for your sake no kangaroo are reading your flyertalk boasts about eating them....or you might be in for a nasty surprise next time you come out to oz

Lavag -

after visiting MEL I can tell you that I was happy I visited MEL and SYD on two separate occasions - that gave me the chance to appreciate each city independently. You should definitely go back!

Chalkie - The far north is splendid! I am lucky I visited during winter, when the temperature was just right!
