Great trip report, I'm glad you had such a good time when you are out here.
Really pleased you're heading back to our shores, you'll definitely enjoy your ride on QF A380 F.

Eating kangaroo, are we oneworld82.
You better be hoping that no kangaroo (or kangaroosters as my grandfather used to call them) are reading your trip report, or this might happen to you ......http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=Z0u7e-7AR8A (go to minute 18).
You see kangaroos are not quite as cute as they seem sometimes. I hope for your sake no kangaroo are reading your flyertalk boasts about eating them....or you might be in for a nasty surprise next time you come out to oz

after visiting MEL I can tell you that I was happy I visited MEL and SYD on two separate occasions - that gave me the chance to appreciate each city independently. You should definitely go back!
I thoroughly enjoyed this TR. I am also a great fan of Port Douglas, the Far North (FNQ (as in "effen Q") as we call it here downunder) and the GBR. It was particularly wonderful to read a report that waxes lyrical about the immense advantages we have in Australia. One can tend to forget (or take for granted) what is good about this country when one lives here.
