Ocn Vw -- Middle East, yes, but other places, as well.
Pelón -- I've had a beer in Reikyavik (Keflavik) and something in Salt Lake City. What does that leave for dry airports in the western world? And I don't mean general aviation spots where -- I assume -- you can bring you own if you are so inclined.

I have had drinks in the lounge at Cairo, but it wasn't Ramadan, not sure if they'd have closed the bar for Ramadan.

It seems to be an automatic Western reaction that all Muslim countries are Middle Eastern. I've can think of many Muslim countries in Asia and Africa that are definately not in the Middle East. I've even sat at very dry airports in non-Middle Eastern, but still very Muslim countries. I know geography is a weak spot for many of us, but I'd expect FTers to have a higher sense of the world.
BTW Mod thanks for moving the thread back while I was in rant drafting mode

Domestic flights and airports in India seem to all be dry from my travels there.

Domestic flights are all dry by Indian law. The airports are most definitely not - I've had alcoholic drinks at lounges/restaurants in BLR, BOM, DEL, GOI and MAA.
Airports are likely to be dry on national holidays like Independence Day and voting days though.
I can assure you that all airports in Saudi Arabia are dry all the time. Saudi Arabian Airlines is a dry airline and no alcohol is served on the flights. (well not any alcohol that is suppose to be on the flight anyway)

You know, when they say, "Drink Canada Dry," they don't mean, literally

I know one GA airport that has an old kegerator sitting out by the BBQ pit.
What does the OP mean by "dry" on this subject? Lack of precipitation/low humidity of the airport's geographical location or low passenger traffic or.......?
