lol thats more likely!!! i never got why they dont make bathroom stalls more private...
And why for god's sake to they make them open inwards??
Wouldn't it make more sense to be able to *push* your way out of a stall rather than maneuver somehow to pull the door inwards w/o standing *on* (or in) the toilet?
Can you imagine someone walking by the stall and suddennly a door swings out and hits you? That would hurt!

For some reason this thread reminds me of when a few years back I was on a US Airways Express Dash 8 (still in the old white colors) and I was going to use the bathroom, and it had a sliding door, I didn't get out of the door's way in time and it slid and hit me. Hard. In front of the whole cabin.

This seems to be an American thing.
I travel to the USA half a dozen times a year, and always feel a bit "odd" about using bathroom stalls because of the gaps under, around and over doors. It doesn't allow for as much modesty as I feel comfortable with.
In the UK, most stalls are floor to ceiling, or if not, certainly provide significantly more privacy.
In the US, it seems the opposite.
Is this a cultural thing, or something to do with US and/or UK legislation?
I would offer to take a photo of a few UK public bathroom stall doors.... but I don't think that would go down well with the local constabulary!

What never makes sense to me is when a small place will have a tiny one seater mens' room and (presumably) a matching tiny one-seater womens'; why not just have two unisex ones? Guy cooties? If it only has room for one, it seems like just having two unisex would be much more efficient.
