The last really drunk person I saw on board (AF IAH --> CDG in September) was handcuffed, shackled, and buckled into a FA seat.

Notify mods - we cannot have drunk people running round this board wreaking havoc! Georg Frideric would be very upset!

Since thread was not posed w/r/t onboard safety, we'll assume its intent is much more general. Please continue the discussion in TravelBuzz!

Drunk can mean many things. I have no idea how I would handle the situation as I don't know what the situation is, where I am, what my role is, what 'drunk' means (visibly drunk, actually drunk, just looks drunk, unable to drive, but not drunk drunk, etc) and really what the question is.

My Ex hated flying (had to do it because he had a couple of out-of-town clients) and getting drunk on planes was a way of life for him. He had limos and taxis so driving drunk wasn't an issue and I suspect he wasn't belligerent or anything on the plane- just drunk. The FAs just gave him refills on request. Sad, but under the circumstances it was probably the reasonable thing to do.
