Better to delete this lest they realise they made a mistake if they made one.

how much are these jerks charging for a fuel surcharge? And w t f is up with adding a fuel surcharge??? Fuel is an integral part of the transportation product - whats next, a water surcharge when flying through ATL? an aluminum surcharge for aircraft parts?

KE

Part of the problem is that many carriers that do charge have less competition than in the U.S. If all carriers were like KE I'm fairly sure the FF program still wouldn't have been invented yet.

Airlines in India also charge a fuel surcharge for domestic flights.

AF definitely does....to the tune of 67 euros for long haul flights (let me look for the link from where I got that). And that is why Im not using my Skymiles on Air France...

I paid 248.53 EURO for my last trip DUS-MUC-LAX for taxes, fees & charges !

I'm used to it and dont complain, it was a F award and I got the miles for cheap, but these were the last ones out of the bucket. Either way there is another offer that allows me to collect for an absulute minimum or thats it. I wont requal for LH SEN anyways

basically it looks like wherever there is competition, airlines do not levy fuel surcharges. hope UA will not do so if they spin off their FFP
