Cell phones on airplanes

I haven't been on this site for a while so this may have been discussed, but is it true they are going to allow cell phones during flights? (may be the end of my travelling by air!)

I've read reports about it, and they sometimes do work today... I've had mine ring before on accident. Extensive notes on this in travel technology forum- check it out there...
