B 747 Upper deck

The B 747 upper deck sure looks spacious when it is empty!

This photo was too good not to share, although I suspect that UA/CO are far from ordering the 747-800, alas.

This is the new 747, which I understand has a larger upper deck than the UA 744s.

nice photos!

Great to see. It seems that Boeing could have almost just extended the upper deck all the way to the back and make their own super-jumbo!

Indeed, the upper deck seems to be almost twice as long...

Great photos. Much prettier than the A380! Please, please, please let UA order this aircraft! (Although I know it is not likely, I can still dream.)

Agreed, the A380s look... well... fat. The 74 has a regal look to it (IMO). Being from Seattle i'm also a little biased.

And I wouldn't want a full upper deck, I like the exclusiveness of the UD. Can't wait to see the interior of a new 787 or 748 first hand.

Love the aircraft, not so much the red colour though. IMHO, the 787 blue would've looked great on this frame too...

I thought the same when I first saw it, but i'm starting to warm up to it. The upper deck on the 747-8i is apparently suposed to hold 31 more pax than the 744 (http://www.seattlepi.com/business/251973_air14.html).

Sure. There's not much else to look at while hanging out in an airport lounge.

The plane looks "stubby" to me. Like something a child would draw or the kind of soft/plush toy plane you'd buy at a store. It just looks too fat at the nose, which makes the plane look too short overall.

The overhead bins look larger than the current useless ones.
