AirOne - my first biz trip in 1982 (STL-DFW) was on this all first class carrier. Leather seats and they took your drink order during boarding.
It's been all down hill since then.

West Coast Airlines - the most memorable, flying in DC3's across the Cascades, flight attendants passing out Chiclets to help with ears popping - I deplaned one of those aircraft in 1963 in Eastern Washington to be told that JFK had been wounded in Dallas ....http://www.flyertalk.com/frown.gif
