I'm going to suggest Hotel Magician for inclusion here for two very specific content areas of the site:
- Interactive Hotel Maps allow you to search by city, address, landmark, or airport code and view hotels on a satellite map. Searches can be refined by brand or hotel group.
Very useful for when you need to be near a specific part of town or find all hotels within your preferred Frequent Guest program in a particular city. You can, of course, also book online from the map and we have started offering the option of booking with us or directly at the hotel's proprietary website.
- The Smoke free hotels section is probably self-explanatory but there are over 3,100 hotels listed and is extrememly useful if you are sensitive to smoke or just plain want to make sure you don't get stuck in a smoking room.
www.girlports.com is a site I have bookmarked for travel, and I think it's one that all lesbian travellers would appreciate. Girlports is the only site of it's kind, offering all kinds of information for cities around the world.
Programs: BA Gold, LY Gold, AA, Flying Blue, SPG, Priority Club, HH, too many others !

This is such an excellent idea - I've spent the last few hours reading through the whole post !!!
In addition to many of the sites you've all mentioned, I've found a really cool site that helps you plan a trip to anywhere in the United States (so far), based on the attractions that you can find in any particular region. So, if I go on vacation with my family, and one likes skiing, one likes shopping, and the kids want theme parks, I can find all of those things that are within driving distance from each other. Then I can also find hotels in that resion too.
The site is www.tripcart.com, and if you look for whatever type of attraction or thing to do in their "search", it will open up a google map with lots of icons for the things you want to look for. You just click on an icon (or a few) and it all shows up on the map, then you go to one that looks interesting, click on it, and it gives you the option to look for "nearby attractions", "nearby hotels" and the like. As you go along, you can save all the things you want to see and do in a personal trip.
Happy planning
Does anyone know of an online site that allows you to book flight and hotel but more than 1 hotel - say in 2 different towns? Or book say to stop in San Juan for a night or 2 before heading to another island in the Caribbean? We're trying to break our trip up since it takes a whole day of travel to get to some of these places. Any options on the best and cheapest way to book something like this would be appreciated. Thanks.
SleepingInAirports is an ultimate guide for overnight camping within the airports. It covers almost any major airport worldwide. Perfect if you’re on a really tight a budget or have a short overnight transit.

Two of my recently discovered favorite travel sites: Hitotoki.org is a travel observation site. Beautiful and poetic. A good place to discover out of the way and non-touristy things to see in London, New York and Tokyo.
Extravigator.com is a highly interactive luxury travel forum and social network. Perfect for getting great tips and advice and sharing opinions on the world's best hotels, restaurants and so on.
I looked thru all the post but could not find a site where you can go to change seats for qatar airways. I am traveling next week and am trying to get good seats. Any help is appreciated.
You may want to check out http://www.delaycast.com. The site uses a prediction engine to tell you the odds of your flight being delayed or cancelled, and the length of the delay. It seems particularly useful when planning your itinerary and looking at connection times. Have a good one.
