Thanks for the fantastic list - much appreciated.
Conversely, you may wish to note a consolidator to avoid:
FORATICKET.COM
In March we bought - by email via their website via Charles and Sunita - 2 business class return tickets SYD-JFK and a number of domestic USA flights. The tickets never eventuated and nor has our promised refund. We found FORATICKET.COM by far the worst company we've ever dealt with. They do not reply to e-mails nor return 'phone calls. If you call on any of their numbers other than to buy a new ticket, there is a recorded message.
On the purchase new option, the person answering puts you on hold, never responding, after you explain there is a problem with ticketing.
We have now lodged a formal complaint of fraud with the California Police Department and with the Better Business Bureau of America.
Meanwhile, as our planned holiday to the US was ruined, we went with Singapore Airlines to Paris spending a most enjoyable month in France.
Now that I can recommend.

I will be doing a sort of round the world trip with travel to London out of LAX, Dubai, Istanbul, Taipei and Singapore.
Is there a website/thread on this forum which tells you about wifi availability in different terminals?
Thanks
I don't know of one source but I've found WiFi is available in almost every major airport. Sometimes it is free, other times there is a fee for the access which is usually reasonable if you'll be spending some time in the airport.
At MSP it's available for $6.95 as an example; at MEL it can be purchased by the minute from Telstra, but is a big rip-off. In other places such as ICN it's freely available. Sometimes the terminal may be a pay hotspot such as MEL but it is sometimes possible to pick up WiFi from another lounge (i.e. I can hit Cathay's WiFi from the Qantas First Class lounge at MEL - the pay Testra hotspot is the primary WiFi in the QF lounge).
Many airline lounges provide free WiFi. I never have a problem finding WiFi when travelling - sometimes its pay other times its free. The only recent exception recently has been AKL - couldn't locate WiFi there, pay or free, from the Qantas First Class lounge.
I can't seem to find the two links that will show you the route map for the long trans-ocean flights when you enter the carrier and flight number. They were posted a day or two ago.
janeway, I just found your post and I wish to thank you for this contribution!
I have reviewed the site and it is great. This is a real contribution to my travel references.
Thanks again

Are there any travel agents on FT that can ticket ready itineraries?
I often use the ITA software and find the itinerary I want. I then attempt to book on Orbitz, Expedia, or other similar sites and I never find the same flights. For instance now I need to fly BKK-LAX and connect in HNL but none of the websites I tried will show the connection and if I enter it manually the fare changes.
I have tried almost all of the websites listed and it seems they are good for finding and comparing fares but there doesn't seem to be ay good sites for booking complex itineraries.
Perhaps there could be a thread where travel agents could list their services which would benefit the buyer and the TA.
Can I add one too... http://www.suetheairlines.org ... a non-profit organization dedicated to helping travellers who are frustrated over poor treatment by airlines. Also the site allows you to get tips on how to navigate Small Claims Court and other legal options for the results you deserve.
A Mr Abrar is a senior manager with FORATICKET.COM, so no doubt he would recommend his company.
However, my experience with them is not so glowing. Some 6-7 months ago we purchased tickets from them - the tickets failed to materialise as did our
promised refund.
We have reported FORATICKET.COM to various consumer groups, the FBI, the Attorney General of California and the Irvine police department as well as MasterCard fraud division. We still keep hearing that a refund will be made but nothing concrete.

This is a great list, indeed.
Just a friendly reminder that it is not necessary to "reply with quote" when you wish to reply.
