Do you prefer Leather or Cloth seats on planes?

Many Airlines are promoting their leather seats on the planes. I really do not like leather seats. They seem to lack softness and my but slides off the seat. It is alot harder to try to sleep on a leather seat. Though the airlines always promote their great all leather seats.

What is your preference?

Leather!

When wearing shorts or a short skirt, the cloth seats tend to be a bit itchy to my skin after a while. Yuck.

I'm a strong believer that one never wants to let exposed skin touch any part of an airplane. legs, arms, bare feet... Because someone before you probably did.

That being said, as long as the seat is all-cloth or all-leather I'm fine with it. A while ago, Delta refitted their first class domestic seat bottoms with half-leather, half-cloth. The seams where the two met were so uncomfortable I had to request an additional pillow to sit on!

Leather and cloth hybrid seats are a definite no no.
I generally prefer cloth as my bum sticks to the leather seats and can make funny noises when moving about

Leather is better! I tend to slide down the seat after a while. If I slide back up with leather no issue. If I do this with cloth seats my pants get traction and they tend to slide down after a few attempts.

definitely cloth seats for me. feels just more hygenic to me (i know it is not). plus i second the opinion that i would not recommend nor want that anybody exposes too much skin to seats in aircrafts.

Delta's BusinessElite seats are a leather/cloth hybrid, but one that works. The center portion of the seat is cloth, from top to bottom, with leather side bolsters and head cushion. No cloth/leather seams to be uncomfortable, but no sliding down the seat, either.

I prefer cloth. Leather, like vinyl, can be hard to sit on for long periods of time. Leather breathes and adjusts to me better.

Definitely leather

1. Feel more luxurious
2. Comfort

Cloth for sure. Despite the luxurious connotations of leather, it is actually the cloth seats that usually cost more over the life of the seat. Airlines typically use that fact to justify the "investment" in leather.

Cloth seats for me, I find them more comfortable. Agree with another poster that passengers shouldn't wear shorts, especially short shorts, on planes.

Leather. They usually end up being more comfortable seats.
