Where's the best buffet in Washington, DC area?(MD/DC/VA)
Based on quality, not quantity/price.
Budget is no more than $100/person, for a party of 8.
I read in the Washington Post a couple of years ago
about a large hotel in DC or No. VA that had a brunch
buffet. It included all-you-can eat Russian caviar
for $75/person. Does anybody know which hotel it was?
Thanks!

The hotel was the Ritz Carlton at Tysons Corner and the buffet was Sunday Brunch only. I haven't been there myself, but several friends raved about it. I don't know if they still run this brunch anymore or if it still has caviar, but I know the last time they went the price was at least $80/person. The hotel restaurant has a very well-respected chef, but he is NOT the chef for the Sunday Brunch.Originally Posted by barefootflying

I believe it's $60/person, and absolutely wonderful. Great raw bar, no caviar last time I was there, lots of fresh sushi, pastries, champagne, etc.

As far as hotel brunches are concerned, I prefer the 4 Seasons to the Ritz, though both are good (even if a notch below Shanghai standards). However, I recommend Georgia Brown's over the hotel scene because it provides a much more unique DC experience. Here's a link to their brunch menu from the same site.
