URGENT: Whose Rule 240 applies to codeshares?
My wife's codeshare Alaska flight on AA metal is delayed and looks to be cancelled due to a mechanical. Whose Rule 240 would apply, AA or Alaska?
I'm coaching her over the phone so that she doesn't get screwed over.
Thanks!

The Contract of Carriage that defines rules and responsibilities (what the old Rule 240 did in the regulated days) are part of a puchased ticket, so I would have to believe it is Alaska. If that's who you paid, that's the CoC that would be in force.

IANAL, thankfully.
