KVS thanks for a great tool!
I have a couple of questions:
- which engine should one use? AMEX or UA for LH or SA flights
- I am looking for award availability and as far as I understand it, if the class isn't shown then ITN doens't know about it? For example:
LH 576 FRA 22:30 CPT 11:25 +1 340 0 F4 A3 C9 D9 Z9 Y9 B9 M9 H9 Q9 V9 W9 S0
I looked at the list on
here it shows LH award class to be O-I-X.
So in the above example, no O-I-X means ITN does not see it?
Is there a way to see the award classes?
Thanks again!

FAQ: ITN/AX Vs. ITN/UA & Award Booking Classes

It is, generally, preferable to use ITN/AX access method as the ITN/UA method tends to show UA flights even when they were not requested.
However, sometimes using ITN/UA access will display classes that ITN/AX does not.

That is correct.

You can use smiley67's tool for that. The link should be somewhere in this thread.

Thanks for the new version!
I take it then, that this new search method doesn't provide the data for AC award space (D/W)?

I am afraid not... It provides award class data for virtually all *A airlines (as per my previous post), with the exception of AC and UA.

Could you be more specific about the problem you're having? And no, you don't have remove the previous version before installing a new one.

It downloads onto my destop as a zip file and then when I open that up I get three files as listed
kvs_availabilitytool.cab
setup.exe
lst.exe
And I can't install from any of the three baxes.
Best explanation I can give
I'm on XP professional

Try copying/extracting all 3 files out of the ZIP file to a new temporary folder, then run SETUP.EXE
If that doesn't work, use WinZip [
http://winzip.com ] to extract the files from the ZIP archive.

This is so cool
I just entered a flight YOW-ZRH, and the KVS Availability Tool responded with 8 combinations of flights on AC, LH, BD, and/or UA. This will be indispensable in planning future travel.
Thanks again to KVS!!
