Search for availability on the route that you want. Once this is displayed click on 'info" which you will find on the right of POS. This will now show you the flight time and distance for that particular flight.
Thanks! Once I entered the info using SNT: Awards/StarAlliance, I highlighted the specific flight and then clicked on "info". It asked me to enter the date, airline code and flight # which I did. The "function" scroll down menu showed flight status. Once I click GO, it actually takes me to a different website www.flightstats.com that's asking me for a username and password..........hmmmmmm......
All I like to see is the miles/distance when I select a segement using *A award option......help!

Cheers.
I don't know of any way to do it under the *A search option. A simple way to do it would be to do a search under Apollo and then follow my instructions above. Why complicate things?
That just refers to your booking confirmation code ...
Hmm. Put in my confirmation number, and other information, for a DL flight, but doesn't seem to work. It launches the DL itinerary page, but then does nothing.
Then, again, maybe that IS what it is supposed to do. I was expecting the lower pane to be filled in with something, but I was probably mistaken. Still, having the flight information right there is a benefit.

Reason: poor grammar

FANTASTIC - Got it! Thanks for both your help lallyr and KVS, much appreciated!
I've figured out why it wasn't working for me. I had the POS set as "AU", but I'm guessing the redesign of the AU Zuji site has screwed things up. But it works if I change the POS to "SG".
Sorry, false alarm.
The redesign of the AU Zuji site is a right pain!
I emailed them, but it was a 'tough luck mate' reply.

Any chance that the KVS Tool might be modified to display limited routing rules, like ExpertFlyer currently does? ExpertFlyer shows single-connect city options (though not full routing rules). It's better than nothing. Knowledge of valid cities, how many transfers are possible, and an educated guess as to legal routings is still better than guessing in the dark.

Unfortunately, that is not currently possible.
In the meantime, I would suggest plugging-in the fare basis (shown by the KVS Tool) into the ITA engine using the following special syntax to see [at least some of] the possible routings:
Code:
From: ::/ F YY..FBASIS
To: ::/ F YY..FBASIS
For best results, click on [More Options] and UnCheck the [Check seat availability] option.
I used this tool a while back but haven't use it since I changed computers. Before I download it again - is it possible to view AA Upgrade to next class (non fullfare Coach to Business) for miles? On recent bookings, AA books these as Class C.

Does this mean that routing rules will not be coming back to KVS any time soon?

Thanks.
No, ExpertFlyer.com is the only tool that has access to AA upgrade (C,R,X) classes as of today.
