Lost Wallet in Hotel

So I left my wallet in a hotel room, found out when I got home and called them up. Reception says they have my wallet, and luckily it's only an hour's drive away so I can pick it up instantly. Total time lost was only a few hours - would you still cancel your cards in this case?

No, but I would monitor them. Not everyone's a crook.

Was actually the new HIX in Macquarie Park Sydney... ended up not cancelling my cards (think that's overkill too) but will keep a closer eye out than usual

Probably as safe as it could get - please report back if anything happens, I'd be surprised if it does.

If you can pick up the wallet fast enough at least I wouldn't cancel my cards.

I agree. Probably overkill but better to be safe.
