Does anyone know of a place where it is possible to find the price of a hotel at some point last year?

hotels owned by public company - investor relations
hotels with ratecards - www.archive.org
search on sites like FT for references
(also things like articles in media/etc)
can always ask hotel / management
for cities, local tourism office and industry analysts track averages
