Jacuzzis: Any Hotels Have One That Works?

First, a brief history:

1970's: Whirlpool spas become popular. Kids like me crash them lots. Water is at least 106'. Relaxing, therapeutic.

1980's: Lawyers ruin everything. Too hot! they say. Liability! they scream. Everyone turns the temp down to 102', barely warmer than a mild fever.

1990's-present: Every hotel gets one, but no one cares anymore because they're too cold, too small, never open, never cleaned, never covered.

I never even use the one in my housing community cuz it's all those things. When traveling, nothing I'd like more than a good hot soak, but it seems there's none to be had. At least, not one I can ever count on.

Suggestions?
Everybody into the pool.

Pretty much any suite in a five star hotel will have a jacuzzi-style bath.

I just think of all that stagnant water sitting in the pipes when it isn't turned on and when it is on... woosh it all flows through.

Cool

I've spent many many hours watching many many sunsets in this one.

I have an 80-gallon one in the master bath that hasn't been turned on in years.

Can you say, "Ick?"

Gross. Bacteria or chlorine soup.

I imagine tacky resort-style 3/4* hotels in horrible places like Orlando will have those but I can't direct you to any specific ones.

I just ripped out the one in my master bath and am replacing it with a jetless deep soaker. Little back flakes of crud would come out if I turned the old one on. Yuck!

I generally choose hotels with pools and hot tubs. I can't recall ever having any of the problems listed above. Other than them being too full, which counters the notion that nobody cares about them. YMMV, I guess.

I see them all the time. Not a huge user of them myself, but they're practically brand-standard in a lot of chains from the HIX level on up to large resorts.

I haven't seen any trend away from jacuzzis in new builds. I can see the temperature being lower, of course...

I've always heard that hotel jacuzzis are a big petri dish for bacteria. Partly because of the number of users and partly because most hotels don't have dedicated pool staff checking the chemical levels regularly. Not sure how much of this is truth and how much is germophobia.

Some of the Norwegian Hurtigruten ships have outdoor whirlpools.
I went in Autumn and the whirlpool was very varm and had a fantastic view.
It was great fun sitting in the whirlpool looking at people on deck wearing scarves and gloves (less fun getting out again).
