Yawning in airports

Yawning, whistling, big hair: How the TSA picks you for extra screening:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is facing renewed scrutiny over its airport screening procedures after two separate reports highlighted unusual or unfair treatment.

In one report, two black women said the TSA had finally agreed to stop singling out passengers for extra screening based on their "sisterlocks" hairstyles.

In the other, The Intercept released what it claims is the secret checklist the TSA uses for behavior screening — including such signs as "exaggerated yawning" and "gazing down".

No comment about "sisterlocks".

Gazing down and exaggerated yawning are signs of potential issues with speaking the truth.

Yawning can also mean you had to get up at the crack of dawn - or before - to catch a flight at an ungodly hour. Or have been traveling for days with reduced sleep.

Exactly. Or that it's hot in the airport, or that you're wearing heavier clothing than would ordinarily be appropriate because your destination is 40 degrees cooler than your present location.

Of course, these things can also lead to that other well-known sign of guilt, sweating.

Edit: Oh, I see that wearing "improper attire for weather" is also suspicious. *sigh*

So all airports in New Jersey and Texas will have hours long security lines?
