New Season of Mayday tonight (Mar 1) : MH370
I know there are a lot of fellow posters here very interested in aviation ops/perf/accidents etc ......
New Season of Mayday starts tonight on Discovery Channel. MH370
8p ET, with a replay at 12A
IMO, it's one of the best shows on tv, always well done and super informative.

Since we know essentially nothing about what happened, it's going to be speculation on top of speculation.
Plus, the terrorism industry/experts are going to have a field day. When my bet is, this was an accident. Possibly fire, followed by slow depressurization and all on board unconscious until the end.

It doesn't seem to be showing on the Discovery Channel in the USA.

It doesn't seem to be on NatGeo tonight either, although I do remember a USA cable station airing previous "Mayday" episodes. However, I think the series used a different title in the USA.

Mayday, also known as Air Crash Investigation(s) in Australia, South Africa, Asia and some European countries, and Air Emergency and Air Disasters in the United States, is a Canadian documentary television program produced by Cineflix investigating air crashes, near-crashes, hijackings, bombings and other disasters.
Since we know essentially nothing about what happened, it's going to be speculation on top of speculation.

They sometimes offer possible alternative theories when there are gaps in the knowledge but they make it very clear this is just conjecture.
I think it more likely that it will be a review of what is know about what happened (i.e. plane took off, headed east, then disappeared) followed by a review of the search efforts, current and potentially future technology, etc.
I think these programs should be on the IFE.

MH370 was balanced and well done, as usual. I enjoyed the added detail and input from Inmarsat.
Really proud this is a Canadian based program. Canadians produce more than our share of cheezy stuff .... Mayday is at the opposite end of the spectrum
I'm almost positive I've watched Mayday on a flight ... LOL ... Remember hoping there were no nervous flyers around. (Might have been personal device and not IFE come to think of it)

Since the program is Canadien, one might suspect it would be correctly called "M'aider" . All the aircraft radio warning calls are French ("m'aider", "panne", and "securite" - sorry, only have English characters).
