How to fly England to NYC in B787/777 aircraft?
Hi,I don't get to see my cousin very often, but next May he is going to be in New York on the weekend of 16th/17th May,so,I am trying to do this bit with a twist,I have flown in every Boeing jet except the 777 and 787,so am trying to do a trip which enables me to fly in both, but can't seem to do it,I realize i will need to stay a Saturday night, have tried all different combinations, but still not sorted,I am near LHR,I know there are a lot of knowledgeable folk on here, and wondered if anyone could come up with something, obviously,I would need to keep it as cheap as possible.....can anyone help??? If this is in the wrong forum,I apologise, and perhaps a 'mod' could move it to the proper place. Thanks very much.

Hi liamvad,
I've moved this thread into the TravelBuzz! forum. It is a better fit for this topic and hopefully best placed to harvest the feedback you're looking for.

LOT have a 787 in service between WAW and JFK. Getting on a 777 should be fairly straightforward with Air Canada and United. BA also seem to have a 777 in service to JFK.
I would avoid UA, though, and stick with AC, unless a non-stop is important to you. Economy class is pretty cramped, and the in flight entertainment on those birds is not great.

I haven't been on every Boeing jet model. I never been on a 720 or 787. As far as major variants, I am lacking some.....

Have a flight on an AF 787 next week,MAD on a 777 few weeks after,so that will complete the set of all Boeing passenger jets from 707 onwards....as long as there are no aircraft changes!!!Only taken me 48 years!!!

Was the 707 in regular commercial service or a special flight in more recent years? What about the 747SP?
I haven't tracked it that closely, but I have most variants covered since the 727. (Maybe not every 737.) 787 was underwhelming to me because I flew JL in coach with 31" pitch, but I'd love to fly it again in J.
