I would not put FRA among most stressful airports. EWR and MIA are more confusing with longer walks between gates/terminals.

Have been through 15 of 16. MIA & LAX most stressful, but maybe I am used to connecting through ORD. Agree that there are many others outside the U.S. that are much more stressful than any of these.

US airports? None would even make the footnotes of a list with the "most stressful" airports.
Doha is a dream compared to Kinshasa. Never been to Lagos but add arriving in Dhaka or TRYING to depart from BOM at rush hour. Believe it or not, Karachi & Lahore though are both a dream compared to others in the region

There are connecting flights through MCI?!?

As a terminus airport though, it is pretty nice. Just hope the city and aviation department don't get their way though. That will bring on the security line mess that's prevalent in so many airports.

Being a US citizen is not a requirement of Global Entry

Has to be Mumbai! Went through last night and even going through fast-track, took over an hour. Every few minutes they were calling people forward in the immigration lines as they were in danger of missing their flights. Security is a nightmare and heaven forbid someone's not stamped the right part of your ticket with the right stamp and you get sent back through the whole thing again. I've been going through Mumbai for years and if anything it's getting worse - it's not a massive holiday airport, but I can't think of a worse place to end your holiday if you do go through it!

True, you can be Canadian, Mexican, Dutch, or South Korean, or a US permanent resident. Still leaves 6.5 billion of us.

to clarify

My experiences at airports can be quite different depending on whether I am connecting or doing an arrival/departure.
Therefore, airports like Kansas City and JFK are easy for arrival/departure but can be nightmarish if you have to change carriers. It is a pain for me to have to switch terminals or to undergo multiple security checks.
