The Y seat of the future

Saw this article and the designer won an innovation award, what do you all think of the proposed new seats in the back of the bus? Will the airlines go for it?

Given that they take 17% more space than existing economy seats, I would imagine this would be E+ or PE if it were widely adopted.

I would see that three motors x hundreds of seats (if it were indeed in economy) adding a LOT of weight to the plane

I also see issues regarding the decreased amount of overhead bin space -- those bins don't look conducive to stacking/wheeled carry-ons, and I already have a hard enough time finding bin space when I'm at the back of the bus.
