I wish we could get a world standard for his where everyone changes at the same time.

Or even better abolish the silliness altogether.

Isn't that the truth..

Thank goodness my computer and BB changes with updates..

But then, all the clocks need to change specifically to the geographic area..

+ infinity (Ugh...)

Not only is it going to be insanely depressing with the sun going down before 5pm, but I have employees and coworkers in multiple timezones throughout world, some of whom have time changes, but others do not. Conference calls and meetings are going to be screwed up for a week.

The difference between the EU and the US is because candy makers lobbied American politicians to delay it one week. They think that fewer kids will go trick or treating if it is dark so they want to delay sunset one hour. Only after Halloween does the US change back to standard time.

Politicians...

Yes, let's please please get rid of it altogether. Most Asian countries do without it just fine. If people want more daylight, let them get out of bed an hour earlier.

If we were to retain it but standardise the dates, we'd probably need one set of standard dates for the northern hemisphere and another set for the southern hemisphere.
