Any help with hotel room paid by AA miles when unable to use the room?

I read the sticky and maybe this is ok.

I have a hotel room already paid with miles and I can't use it. Do you guys have any advice on where to sell it?

thanks!

Have you tried to redeem it back? Most hotel programs allow you to recredit your account.

Tried to get out of it. No refunds.

AA miles at an Aqua property near HNL.

Did a web search and can't find a place to go.

Yes talked to a admin.

So I know no buying and selling. What I am trying to do is simply know where to go. I search the net and don't see many options. It was AA miles at a hotel in Honolulu in Feb. So I have time, but just am looking for some help, not trying to sell here.

did the admin say you could let someone else have the room?...so you could give it to a friend/relative?

They can often credit back the miles into the account upon cancellation.. Did you check out whether this is a possibility?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I talked to someone here at FT that said you can't sell anything. I was like I know, I am just trying to find where to go.

AA won't refund.

Did AA give you some conventional choices to consider?..

Such as exchanging or rebooking to a different hotel and date?

As the OP has also posted this more aptly in the MilesBuzz forum http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...l-stays-4.html and FlyerTalk disallows crossposting, this thread will be closed. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator.
