Is chocolate OK to put in checked luggage?
Going from zurich to california. Would it be okay to put chocolate products in checnk in suitcase?

Read the customs forms carefully, and answer truthfully.

Yes, just be aware that if it is not a non-stop, your luggage may sit out on a hot tarmac (or unairconditioned area) for long amounts of time during your connection and the chocolate may melt.

Yeah, the only real concern is if you have a connection in a hot location. The aircraft luggage compartment itself tends to be cool in flight.

Yes, brought lots of chocolate from Brussels and Paris before, never encountered a problem with checking candy/candy bars/chocolate boxes.

No, not ok.
Baggage handlers or TSA, not sure which, may steal them to eat. I've heard of many thefts, including clothes still in the wrapper, prescription drugs, etc. |

, I have brought MASSIVE quantities of Chocolate back from Switzerland, Venezuela, Madagascar, and Colombia. I am talking 20-25 pounds each time !! :D Never had a problem, nothing stolen, and yes, I do declare it ! |
