I've experienced that before when I lived in ATL. Wrapped through the lobby, around a couple carousels (they started doing this after I passed that point), past the baggage claim, almost to the ticketing area. It was an absolute zoo. This was several years ago.

Lucky for me I was inbound to ATL, so I was just there to pick up my bag and try to cut thru the line to get to the rental car tram.

Personally I hate anyone who is not deplaning in Baggage Claim, I wish they would fix that. As someone that was a victim 2 weeks ago of baggage theft from ATL I feel they should be doing a better job of making sure luggage safely gets to the owner and that theft is minimized. With hundreds of additional people in the claim area, it would be very easy for something to go missing.

How many of the TSA clerks are currently not handling anything but using their rear ends to block someone's camera?

What is going on in ATL today? Is that security breach or what? I wasn't aware of that.

TSA is not doing good job at all. They should have beef up to cleared at security. No more waits for 10 minutes through at checkpoint.

This is not unusual for Monday's in Atlanta, especially during the morning. Pretty much only day of the week that is like this from my experiences.

It hasn't been that bad lately, but it was bad on Monday. They were only using 1 AIT at North T gates. I have no clue what was happening, the bag screening was moving slower than normal.

Gosh! Something is not right things to do. TSA cannot put everyone go through the bodyscanners. This is not real specific time at all. Firing TSA!!

Get hell out of there now! Those passengers who had it right go through the metal detector. They can't do something to put everyone into MMW.

Good riddance to TSA in ATL!!

Long check point lines not unusual for monday mornings? What is it normally like for a 0600 departure on a monday (start of Oct)?

Such a stupid policy. If only ATL could buy a few buses, or find a way to escort pax that are not connecting.
