And yes, I believe that some F/A's sample the F meals if a pax declines the food, which does happen on occasion. Sometimes the pilots get to try it as well, helps break up the monotony 
No, but I'm laughing my way through this thread... 
Some of my AS flight attendants on some of the AS transcons have mentioned that they like one meal choice better than the other, which implies that they've tasted it at some point, though I don't know how, since I'm pretty sure the FA meals aren't nearly as nice as the actual F meals and the transcons (where the good meals are served) are ALWAYS full in F, meaning the FAs never get to nonrev in them. Maybe they get to eat the leftover uneaten meals...
