A few financial transaction sites won't load
Help. There are a few financial transaction sites that won't load up when going to the actual transaction screens - they just freeze. There is nothing wrong with these sites.
Where they don't work:
In my office (a home office) with 2 computers and a router, on either computer, using any browser. I am wondering what sort of setting would cause this.
Where they work:
In my house - different DSL line, on either computer, on any browser.
The particular sites so far are:
The tax payment place (Official Payments)
BofA credit card payment (myeasypayment)
Comcast bill payment
Thoughts?

it could be a DNS problem on that DSL line / with the router controlling that line. I'd try changing the DNS settings. the easiest would be to switch to OpenDNS (a free service that allows you to block porn/ phishing sites)

Here are some things you could try:
- flush the DNS
- update the office router firmware
- try plugging office computer directly into the DSL modem, skipping the router altogether to see if it's a router problem
- ping the financial website from the office to see where it hangs
- is it only having trouble with HTTPS pages? try going to something else that uses SSL encryption
-bring a laptop from home (that you know can connect there) to see if it can connect at the office
