I have had the Kensington 120w adapter for a while but have just acquired a Dell Axim X51, and also a Nokia phone with the smaller charging pin, so have just discovered the problems in finding tips.
Seems I need a P4 for the Dell - not sure about the Nokia - have an M2 but it is for the older Nokias.
I've read the Axim takes the same as PSP - can anyone confirm that?
Do Igo tips work with the Kensington?
I called Kensington and they are sending me an adapter tip to enable the use of their new USB tips but I haven't yet found if I can get the tips I need in that format.
Help and info would be much appreciated by this new member!
Hello everyone,
I noticed that in Photos, The Tumi AC/DC adapter, which seems to be the same as the Kensington 33197, comes with a european 2 prong AC input cord.
Since I travel to Europe frequently, this would be a nice addition to my Kensington 33197 kit. Does anyone know where to find one of these?
I contacted Kensington, and they said that it was not available from Kensington. I have used my Kensington 33197 successfully in Europe with a simple prong adapter, but this is not as elegant as the correct input cord.
Has anyone got a targus #16 tip and A61 tip to sell please? Also can anyone tell me what shape the plug on the lead going into the power pack is on a Targus APM10US is please. Also are the igo tips compatible with targus as they seem to have the same numbers.Thanks.
The Difference between Kensington SmartTips with the "B" Suffix
I now know what the difference is between Kensington SmartTips that have the "B" suffix and those that don't.
For Example: N19 -vs- N19B
The Tips with the "B" suffix have a second alignment key on the connector where it attaches to the DC Computer power input cable.
The DC Computer power input cable supplied with my 120 Watt Kensington 33197 Air/Car/Wall adapter does not have a grove to accept the second Key.
Here is a photo that shows the difference in the tips:
I was able to trim off the second key on the "B" tips and use them with my non"B" cable. I checked several different SmartTips with an accurate voltmeter and the "B" tips seem to have a slightly higher voltage output....More in my next post.

The Difference with the Kensington "B" SmartTips (Part 1)
Hi,
I've figured out the difference between the Kensington SmartTips with and without the "B" Suffix.
For Example: N19 -vs- N19B
The "B" SmartTips have a second alignment key in the connector socket that attaches it to Laptop DC Power Cable.
The "Non-B" tips have only a single alignment key.
I tried to attach a photo showing the difference but I guess I'm still a newby on FlyerTalk and don't yet have that privilege.
The Laptop DC Power Cable that was supplied with my Kensington 33197 Air/Car/AC Power Supply does not have a slot to allow the "B" smart tips to fit.
I used an X-Acto Knife to trim off the second alignment key on several "B" SmartTips that I have and was successful in attaching them to my Laptop DC Power Cable.
I used a pretty accurate voltmeter to test the output and found that the "B" SmartTips output a slightly higher voltage than the "Non-B" Smart Tips.
I'll detail this in a separate post.
I hope someone finds this information useful

Hi,
Here are the details of my testing of the Voltage output with various SmartTips.
I had a few "Non-B" and "B" tips of each type for the various laptops in my family.
I also tested output voltage of the Factory supplied Laptop Power Adapters.
Note the following testing was done with no load on the power supplies.
Need
- Kensington M16 (the mini USB adapter) for Motorola Phones.
- A tip for the Nokia. Not sure the number - it's super thin - needle like.
- The Empower > Auto/Air Adapter
Have
Targus Power Tips
- 24
- 19
- 21
- 28
- 58
- 74
Kensington Power Tips
- N29 (the ever elusive)
- N3

Hi Patrick, I'm unable to answer your questions (though I suspect the answer to your iGO tips on Kensingtons is a no), but I was wondering if:
1. You found out what tip code works for the new thin type Nokias
2. when you said the adapter tip to enable the use of their new USB tips, does that mean the Kensington terminates in a normal USB female connection (after which you attach normal USB charge cables)?
