So, the t-mobile tzones hack on the tmo cards is till working in the bay area at least, I use it sometimes on the phone that is mounted in the car, for bt communication to the GPS, to update my positioning. Granted, it is GPRS at best, but yeah, there are no EVDO or 3G paygo plans in the usa.
