The Nano doesn't have these two outlets like the iPod and the Mini?
Sadly no. It has a dock and a headphone jack.

But I'm sure the Apple accessory companies are working their backsides off to design cool add-ons as quick as they can come up with them...

I wonder which one will be the more popular color. I bought a "classic" white version, but it looks like most people here went with black.

White just gets dirty too quickly or maybe it's my grubby hands I just hope that lacquered shine on the black does not show scratches easily.

The black actually gets dirtier faster. I've been polishing it all afternoon

It reminds me of when I used to own a black car. Looks beautiful when clean, nasty when dirty. Hides mud well, but not dust nor oil. Have fun polishing.

Well, I just ordered one of these, and I have absolutely no idea how to work one. I am a total neophyte. I am interested in putting my language c.d.'s on it, and also loading it with audio books to take while traveling. Just from reading what all of you have posted I got the courage to go for it. I grew up with rotary dial phones, so this is a leap for me!!

If you can post on an Internet forum, you'll be able to use it no problem.

If you're not already using iTunes, you might want to get it loaded on your machine and start familiarizing yourself with it and begin ripping or importing your music/audio book collection into it. That way when your iPod arrives, you can just plug it in, load it up and use it.

do I buy one? I too have so far avoided the ipod because everyone else has one ("think different" indeed )

but there's a reason it's so popular besides hipness/coolness...it's a good product

Does the black one come with black headphones, or the 'mug me' white ones
