Bali Indonesia mobile cell GSM prepaid
Looking for recommendations on GSM prepaid operators with good coverage and decent terms and conditions in Bali. Best case would be:
--good coverage
--cheap local and international
--very cheap SMS
--easy to get SIM, perhaps from an airport vendor
--even easier to get top up in population concentration centers
--English language live or automated customer service for balance inquiries and top up
--English language on written materials accompanying SIM and top up
--balance by SMS on conclusion of call
--long expiry.
Also, I have a couple of other threads on this topic targeted to specific countries, such as Laos. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to have aqdditional individual threads on this topic for specific countries to make searching easier. (Yes, I know Bali isn't a country.)

For Indonesia, the average tourist seeking a ultra cheap "throw away" prepaid SIM, you almost surly wand a so called "AS" sim. These are available all over for as little as 20k Rupia including air time. Look for the Ace of Hearts, "kartu As" logo. Refills are available all over, coverage is good and they are very cheap.

For Bali As prepaid is probably the best choice. It's by Telkomsel and has the widest coverage of the island at the moment. You will be able to call IDD with them, get the ones bundled with 50,000 rupiah worth of credit and get another top up card for another 50,000 rupiah (total of about 10 usd).
You will need to register with Telkomsel before you can use the number (new regulations), you can do the registration OTA (over the air). Read the instructions booklet included with the SIM bundle. You will need to submit your name, passport number and address by SMS.
For Singapore, get yourself Starhub's Green Card prepaid GSM. Lowest rates for IDD use their VoIP, 018+country code....... etc. You can get them at 7Eleven stores or pharmacies (Guadians/Watsons). You will also need to register so bring along your passport.

Indonesia: Telokomsel is best coverage, service but IndoSat and others cheaper.
Singapore: StarHub, SingTel, M all have prepaid's - it's a tossup as all good and inexpensive.
Malaysia: Maxis, Digigi, Celcom all have prepaid's - again toss up.
Go to prepaidgsm.net for more details, if you don't find your answer, try their forum, it's excellent and very responsive.
And btw, a simple search of this thread would have gotten you the same exact response from me and others. Rather than shouting, try searching
