I've still been having a problem on my main PC where the FAH core runs but I have no tray icon. I now use the FAHStats program to view the progress instead - unless anybody else has ideas on how to get the tray icon back.
I've got 2 Linux boxes, both finished their first WU's last night, and nothing shows up in the stats, my Windows box has been running it for 3 days and is only half way through (3.2GHz machine with HT). Strange....

Hey Scott. Different WU's take vastly different amounts of time to process. On the same PC, could vary from a few hours to a few days depending on the number of elements.
The Folding reporting servers seem to update about every 2 hours or so. Right now, my FT_User is showing it was last updated at 16:33 PST, and it is 15:05 PST as I type. The team page seems to reflect the summary of the individual member's pages.
Obviously more than 2 hours has passed since your machines finished a WU. Double check the team-ID is 39124. Could also be a f/w (personal FW or corporate FW) blocking the transmision of the WU data. Have a look in the FAKlog.txt file in the Folding@Home program directory for clues. Here is an excerpt from my log file showing the end of a WU and successful transmission:

I checked for this error online (0x0), but couldn't find any decent solution for it...
Shame, as the machine is now working on it's third WU (one on each CPU) and I suspect those will fail too...

I did not read all the replies in this thread so what I say could be repetitious.
It is not a good idea to download other people's programs and run them.
It is not a good idea to agree to allow let alone actually allow a service (such as a browser or internet provider) to download programs that run in your computer in exchange for your use of other features of the service free or at a discount.
The programs could include viruses, could damage your computer, or could conduct illegal activity such as send spam or bootleg music, and you would be liable for damages.

Gotta say thanks in a big way! I never ever even thought of asking anyone to make this sticky, and seeing (I think?) that it happened on its own is even better! In earlier posts I had gone on about how to take this to a new level, and my conclusion was IT professionals setting this up on a good sized network (so far, no apparent takers), and then later adopting percussionking's idea of hotel computers. This is just great - it'll be one of the first thing the FT community sees in this forum. So, let's see how this quantifies out in new members & such.
After the less than overwhelming start (see page 1), this is really taking off. We've doubled in under 60 days. Ok, I viewed the 2 websites posted earlier, and dont' have time to review in depth. Short version: will this provide us a seperate link to graphically view our team's progress? If so, can I assume the group would find merit in this? Let me know. And the talk of Randy being aware.....?? Wouldn't that be just the greatest?!

If you visit the Folding@Home site, you will see that it is, in fact, a very reputable operation with a very valid scientific mission. I agree with you that downloading and installing random unknown things is not a good idea, howver this application does not fall into that category.
