This will be very useful for a lot of frequent travelers. Streaming online to watch videos isn't always a great option, and this seems like a great workaround to plan around the times when online connectivity while on the move isn't all that ideal.

Good timing. Flying tomorrow.

I had to uninstall and reinstall to get the download option - the App Store was not showing an update available.

On the down side, my downloads are queued, but apparently not actually downloading.

Need to find out if I could save to micro SD card or only to internal memory. Amazon Prime Video is to internal memory and it gets filled up pretty quick...

will it have a "time bomb" in the download ?

so many times you can watch it , or so many days before it "explodes"

The length of time Netflix users will have to watch a show or movie will vary by title. The "My Downloads" page will show members how long, such as 48 hours, they have with each title.
Same as Amazon Prime, iirc.

Some already do - Amazon Prime and iTunes, for two.

It doesn't seem to have an option to save to external SD card. The size is not too bad... about 190MG per hour on Standard quality.

Bear in mind that there is only a limited choice of titles.

...and downloads remain queued, but not downloading.

Multiple wiFi networks, shut down and restart, uninstall and reinstall Netflix, nada.

I updated my Amazon Video Android app yesterday and it now offers default save to micro SD Card instead of internal storage. I might have missed when this feature was introduced but very happy the app prompted me to switch download location upon firing up the new version.

But Amazon Video for Android only plays and downloads SD. On Kindle Fire you get HD 1080p for play and download.
