[consolidated] Black Friday computer sales

Ok, after all your help on my iPhone decision, my partner asked me to post this.

He now wants to move over to an Apple MacPro.

Anyone seen any great Black Friday deals?

Any specs you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Any deals on a 13 or 14 inch laptop for home use

Hi friends,

Wishing all of you, and your loved ones, a very Happy Thanksgiving.

I am looking for a ~13 or ~14 inch laptop for home use, and was wondering if there are any good deals for Black Friday/Thanksgiving/the holiday season.

I prefer a Windows based pc, which will be used for internet surfing, basic MS office and general day to day use. No gaming or programming.

Are there any good deals on Thinkpads or Lenovo's? I like the built in track pad and the centered keyboard.

One of the issues I have with the newer styled laptops is the uncentered keyboards, due to the number pad on the right.

I am located in Houston, TX USA and am a member of Costco and Sam's Club. I am open to buying the laptop online or in store.

Thank you,
desidude

Amazon Cloud Drive with unlimited storage - $5 for one year (normally $60).

Catch is that I'm sure the renewal in a year will be at full price, but...

I hope that's his money and not yours! Or that you mean Macbook Pro...

What does he use it for? The Mac Pro is silly, sad overkill for almost anyone -- and for those sorts of professional use (or very serious amateur versions of various professional artistic or technical endeavors) where it actually makes sense, the applications he would be running would drive the specs needed.
