VPN Area can do it. I use it on my iPhone all the time when connected to public WIFI.

Try Unblock-Us. Netflix/Amazon region hopping without the traffic overheads of a VPN.

PIA for me, works good so far.

Ok, I checked out a few of the recommendations here, and since I did have some need for a vpn, PIA looked like the best fit.

They have a Black Friday sale, $32 or so a year, or 2 years for $60.

I stupidly entered one letter of my email address wrong twice, so had to do an online chat. Took a couple of minutes to connect and then a couple more to fix it.

The ios app was easy to download and install. A few minutes later I'm watching Netflix. They now allow 5 devices, so that's a perfect fit, too.

Thanks to all who gave revommendations.

PIA and Torguard seem to be the frontrunners when I checked into it. I've been happy with Torguard for $30 a year (sale price). Works on my PC and Android devices, I am iCult free.

Smile Purevpn for sure because it has more servers!

If if your purpose of using a VPN requires you to connect with many locations, then Purevpn is definitely the must choose. It has more servers and locations than most of the top providers in the industry and you also get 5 multi logins with single account (which is my personal favorite about this service). They are currently running a discount too, so it is wiser to check it out and get the offer if it interest you

I was disappointed that a Hyatt in Indonesia blocked PIA from connecting recently. First time I've run into that.

That's a real surprise - hotels were one of the main reasons I got a VPN in the first place (for the security on public WiFi). Did they say why?

Being a geek, I'm curious why you feel a VPN gives you more security at a hotel?

I think mainly to avoid packet sniffing on an unsecured wifi network.

Yup. Unlikely, but if I'm doing anything with any passwords that are important to me (like banking or email), I always use a VPN when I'm using public WiFi, including a hotel or Starbucks, etc.

I went with Cactus VPN, they had a Black Friday special, less than $40/year.

I think they use Docomo for their service provider. I didn't ask, but it seemed pretty deliberate.
