Mobile Passport App for iPhone & Android Phones

For people without Global Entry, this may be a good option for quick entry. Approved by CBP.

Available at ATL, MIA, SEA and ORD at this time.

The Mobile Passport App by Airside Mobile lets you skip the line at US airports for Custom and Border Protection (CBP). Just fill out your profile and answer CBP’s questions – then go straight to the “Mobile Passport Control” express lane at the airport!

Does this require an internet connection to work? I have had trouble using mobile boarding passes at several airports where there wasn't adequate cellular coverage (back when I used T-Mobile...).

Nonetheless, I doubt this will prove to be faster than Global Entry, but may be a worthy alternative for infrequent travelers for whom the $100/5 year fee isn't worth it.

This looks great. But it says "Once you land, connect to wireless or wi-fi and submit your data to CBP" so my question is will CBP set up WiFi at all these airports in the immigration hall? I don't live in the US so I'd have to turn on expensive roaming. As this service is available to Canadians too, I guess they would want to have WiFi too.

Wifi networks are being set up for this.

There is a pre-existing thread on this topic:
