Definitely get one that can play and write DVDs as well while you're at it.

I don't own this one, but it gets good reviews and runs off USB power from your laptop. Samsung seems like a good brand name. And it's hard to go wrong for $32.

YMMV

any of them will do

also assess how often you'll actually need one

i bought a 35$ samsung dvd-rw when i switched to the air... that was 4 years ago... i think i used the drive a total of 3 times that first month and never again

if you have another apple computer at home, you can use the the drive on that machine and virtually mount it to your laptop

USB DVD/CD burners are inexpensive commodity items and have been for a while. It's not worth overthinking your decision.

If you do want another quick recommendation, I have been using this ASUS model for over 3 years with my Air:

Amazon has it for $25 now. I think I paid $30 years ago.

We have an Apple drive at work that we all share:

Works fine for the "very" occasional times I still need one.
