Couldn't find anything using forum search -
Any luck with any specific carriers for getting a SIM in Cairo?
Need it to work up and down the Nile - from Cairo all the way south to Aswan.

Your best bet is Mobinil which has the best coverage in Egypt. But the other two providers are good too: Vodafone and etisalat. In any event it is fairly easy to get a prepaid sim in Egypt. I believe you will need to show your passport to get the line though.

Thanks for your response. For some reason I didn't think Vodafone was an option. Will look into Mobinil.
