I have 3 of these scattered throughout my house - http://www.amazon.com/UPGRADED-Wirel...dp/B00C40OG22/

The surface is non-slip and 2 of the 3 pads charge reasonably quick. One of them has always charged relatively slowly, however. But....I just noticed when I looked at the Amazon listing that it needs at least 2 amps, and the USB adapter I have in the problem location is just a single amp.

The unbranded eBay on was about 60% less ($6.75 shipped from NY) and was slightly different. The biggest problem was that the microUSB port didn't accept any cables except the 3' cable included with the package. The six other cables I tried wiggle too much inside the port so it doesn't charge. To the seller's credit, I complained last night, and a new one is already being shipped out to me this morning.

Note: Did not buy from this seller and not this listing exactly, so I should say I have one like it.
I have a couple of these type at home. Wife has one and I have the other. Mine is gutted and installed in a nightstand organizer, so when my phone sits on the shelf it starts charging.

I also have an expensive Samsung one, rectangular and white. Both seem to charge as fast as each other.

The second one was even worse. Prompt refund and seller doesn't want them back.

Was it like one of these?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/111424148317

I just got one a week ago from a seller in NY - I guess I've been lucky that it's worked so far...

Oops. You're right, that listing is the exact same one. I corrected my post(s). What color did you get? I got orange (twice).

I'm going to take my chances on this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331333648897 $33 using coupon code CELLSAVE5ON20 (expires tonight).

The thing is built like a tank. Works great. It's a shame the seller jacked up the price to $45.

This one finally dropped in price and is also now Prime eligible. Picked one up to try with my new Nexus 7 tablets.

It works, but only in landscape with my Nexus 7. A tad disappointing.

I have one of these on my nightstand. Holds the rectangular charging pad and Nexus 5 without an issue.

Same style of charger is available for $32 with Prime shipping on Amazon. My favorite style charger for use on a nightstand.

I now have six qi chargers at home, and one at work. I think I'm done shopping now. Now to convince more manufacturers to produce qi-compatible phones...

Ordered one of those. I have the original LG G3 wireless charger, but it is slow and pretty temperamental. With this one, I'm well over 15 different Qi chargers - perhaps this one will be the winner?

Does the G3 require a replacement back to work with a Qi charger?

That depends on the model. The International (unlocked) version comes with the Qi back. The T-Mobile one needs either the new back cover, or the Quickview flip case with wireless charging. Then there is the AT&T version which uses a different wireless charging technology. All very messy actually. I had to spend $80 to get my quickcircle flip case with wireless charging.

If your battery door has four pins on it like in the picture below, then it will do wireless charging.

Otherwise, you'll need to buy the replacement back (just an example, I'm sure it's cheaper elsewhere) or something like this...
