Now that's a mobile boarding pass !

OK, I've seen a lot of folks use the mobile boarding pass on smartphones, but going through ORD security last week, this guy has his I-PAD out, and pulls up his mobile boarding pass on it. Has it zoomed in on the barcode so it almost fills the whole screen.
You could see very detail from +25 feet away!.
He puts it directly over the scanner, then pulls it away about a foot before it recognized it and he got the 3 beeps for TSA preferred.
Me and a couple other guys started cracking up.

Never seen that before.

That's pretty funny. Never even considered using my iPad as a mobile boarding pass!

I find it funnier to see tourists using their iPads as cameras while on vacation. It's not exactly convenient to carry an iPad on the Great Wall, for example.

It gets even better if the image auto-rotates right before the scanner can recognize it...

Lets hope nobody tries to out-do them and pull out a 17" laptop with the BP displayed full-screen!

Umm, that's why you have a rotation lock toggle.

I started seeing people using their tablets for the boarding pass only recently, and indeed, at ORD. Seems altogether way too inconvenient.... ?

Then again, I'm the guy who essentially stopped using his Kindle because I can't read then on takeoff and landing. I'm such a Luddite.
